a building.

In planning the construction or renovation of a building, the choice of an engineering firm is often secondary to the architecture. Unlike the building design, engineering systems cannot be shown with renderings and models. When the air conditioning does not cool properly, the building power quality is unacceptable or noise levels are so loud that they cause distraction, the importance of the engineering becomes obvious.
